Caring and Sharing Women’s Group

 Vision Statement

As Christian Women we dedicate ourselves to Jesus Christ and we will always trust in Him to give us strength to surrender our will to Him.  We will pray for obedience to God and ask always to be filled with His love so that we may always reach out and build bonds of love with each other, our families, our church and our communities.

Purpose

To promote the love of God to the congregation of NBC and to the surrounding community.

Date’s and Times

The Caring and Sharing Women’s Club meets on the 2^nd Monday of each month at 6:30pm.  Each member takes a turn at opening her home and being the hostess for the evening.

Officers

Officers are elected in December of each year and take office in January.

Cookie Ministry

Each Sunday Morning we welcome our visitor’s with a bag of homemade cookies and an invitation to worship with us again.  We then follow up with a visit to their home.

Card Ministry

Faye Perry is in charge of the Card Ministry of the women’s club.  If you miss a service, or you are in the hospital or at home ill or maybe there is a death in your family, it is purpose of this ministry to reach out to you through the mail with a card letting you know that we care at NBC.

Secret Pal’s

Each quarter we draw names for “Secret Pal’s”.  It feels so good to do something good and thoughtful for someone in secret, praying that you have brightened his or her day in some way.  Needless to say we have a lot of fun each other trying to guess who is our “Secret Pal”.

Projects

In the past year the women’s group has financed the materials and construction of a large deck on the back on the Pastors Parsonage.  The nursery at NBC was in great need of new face-lift, so the women’s club has completely redone and redecorated the entire nursery.    Now when you walk in to the nursery you are surrounded by Noah’s Ark and animals galore.  What a pleasant sight!

At the present time we are working on Banners for the sanctuary at NBC.  Betty Griffin has completed one banner, which now hangs in the sanctuary.  These banners are a major undertaking and take quiet a lot of time and patience, but thru dedication and hard work another should be in place by the end of this month.
